WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester volleyball swept University of the Sciences at Hollinger Field House on Tuesday night, picking up its fifth straight win to begin the 2019 season.

This one was never close as the set scores were 25-15, 25-18 and 25-6 in favor of the Golden Rams.

The Devils recorded a .084 hitting percentage on Tuesday, which is the highest of any West Chester opponent in the early going this season. However, the Golden Rams hit .456, which is easily a season high for the undefeated squad.

Julia Vreeswyk (Yardley, Pa. / Pennsbury) led WCU with 10 kills in the match. She added three blocks, trailing only sophomore
Olivia Rudjord's (Fogelsville, Pa. / Allentown Central Catholic) four blocks for the team high. Rudjord also had five kills on six attempts.

Sarah Polacek (Johnstown, Pa. / Westmont Hilltop) notched nine kills with a .529 hitting percentage.

West Chester won its first 14 matches in 2018.

The Golden Rams head to Millersville University for four matches, two on Friday and two Saturday. On Day 1, they play at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. against Fairmont State and Roberts Wesleyan.
