Austin Eveland (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett) picked up his first goal of the season with 53 seconds left in the game, lifting visiting West Chester to a 1-0 victory in a men's soccer match Tuesday evening.
West Chester (3-1-0, 1-0-0 PSAC) picked up the dramatic win in its conference opener over East Stroudsburg (2-1-2, 0-1-0). It halted the Warriors' unbeaten streak to open the season at four matches.
How it Happened
- Eveland notched his first goal in Purple & Gold in the final minute of the contest, shortly after a corner kick from the Golden Rams.
- West Chester's defense limited East Stroudsburg to just five shots on the evening.
