West Chester Downs Mansfield 4-0 On The Road

MANSFIELD, Pa. - No. 6-ranked West Chester women's soccer (6-0-0, 5-0-0 PSAC) took down Mansfield University on Wednesday afternoon on the road. Three goals in the first half allowed the Golden Rams to seal the conference victory.
 
How It Happened:
  • Within the first three minutes of play, junior Hannah Zach (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) scored from 10 yards out on an assist from sophomore Katie Crouthamel (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown).
  • At the 11:09 mark, senior Jenny Bail (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) grabbed a pass from Crouthamel on the right side to score another for the Golden Rams.
  • Just before halftime, junior Olivia Muha (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour) played a deflection to score for West Chester during the 42nd minute.
  • With eight minutes remaining in the second half, freshman Nicolette Harrison (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) shot the ball from the left side of the goal to score her first college goal.
Inside the Numbers
  • This was the fifth shutout in six games for WCU this season.
  • Senior Brooke Myers (Hershey, Pa./Middletown) has only let in one goal all season for the Rams while making 20 saves.
  • Zach leads the team with five goals this season, and Bail is second with four.
