LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - West Chester University junior place-kicker,
Andrew Chegia (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville), was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division Special Teams Player of the Week it was announced by that organization Monday morning.
One week after the Golden Rams' punter,
George Lambritsios, was named special teams player of the week, Chegia joined his kicking mate on the exclusive list. The local product converted all six extra point attempts in Saturday's 48-7 win over Millersville while also making both of his field goal attempts.
On the year, Chegia is 4-for-5 in field goal attempts, missing only from 47 yards against Seton Hill. Additionally, he is 17-for-18 on extra point attempts.
West Chester, which recently moved up to No. 14 in the country in the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) coaches poll, continues its two-game road trip with a PSAC contest at Shippensburg Saturday.
