MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - West Chester University men's basketball dropped a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division contest at Millersville University on Wednesday night, 97-71.

Freshman forward
Matt Dade (Collegeville, Pa. / Episcopal Academy) scored a season-high 17 points in 24 minutes off the bench in the defeat that dropped West Chester to 14-6 overall and 8-6 in PSAC play this season.

The loss drops the Golden Rams right into the thick of the PSAC East standings as they're now tied in second place with the Marauders, who own an 11-9 overall record.

West Chester never led in Wednesday's game. Sophomore
Josh Samec's (Trecksow, Pa. / Hazleton) three-pointer with 9:44 left in the second half was the last shot that brought the Golden Rams within single digits of Millersville in the contest.

Senior guard
Malik Jackson (Lansdowne, Pa. / Penn Wood) led West Chester with 21 points. Second on the team at 17.7 points per game, Jackson has scored 20-plus points in seven of his 18 games played this season. Jackson is up to 1,646 points in his collegiate career, which moves him ahead of 1959 WCU graduate Terry German for sixth on West Chester's all-time scoring list.
