EAST STROUDSBURG, PA - West Chester University's men's soccer squad traveled up to the Lehigh Valley and came away with a critical point in a 0-0 double overtime tie with homestanding East Stroudsburg Wednesday night at Douds Field at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
West Chester (4-1-2, 4-1-1 PSAC) picked up one point in the league standings to pull into a first-place tie with Lock Haven with 13 points each. Millersville, a 3-2 winner over the Bald Eagles in OT Wednesday night, sit in third place with 12 points while East Stroudsburg is in fourth with 11.
After playing 110 minutes of exhausting scoreless soccer, the two sides now retreat back to their campuses to prepare for Saturday's next challenge, before meeting up once again the following Monday in West Chester for a rematch. That match is the re-scheduled tilt from earlier in the year.

Daniel Good (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) made 10 saves, including seven in the first half. Warriors' keeper Raymond Fortebuono made seven saves.
West Chester hosts Shepherd on Saturday at Rockwell Field before the much anticipated rematch with East Stroudsburg - also at home - on Monday. After next Monday, the Golden Rams have just four league games left on the 2021 regular-season schedule. West Chester is vying for its first conference regular-season title since 2018.
