WEST CHESTER, PA- West Chester University has come back to life once more! The Golden Rams, after a wild tie ending last week against East Stroudsburg, came back home on a sunny Saturday afternoon to face the visiting Shepherd Rams. The first half seemed to be complete dominance by the Golden Rams, as West Chester outshot Shepherd 13 to 1 in the first half alone.
Ryan Keenan (Bethlehem, PA / Northampton) came out strong early on, as Keenan scored in the fourteenth minute of play, assisted by
Connor Sullivan (Bensalem, PA / William Penn Charter). Shepherd however, came storming back in the second half, as they evened the score with a goal by Shamar Robinson. Later on, the weather became a factor as storms were moving into the area, and the Golden Rams finished the job in torrential rain.
Jack Dieffenderfer (Lewisberg, PA / Lewisberg Area) scored towards the middle of the second half, as he was assisted by
Ryan Keenan (Bethlehem, PA / Northampton). West Chester University finished the game with a nice home win at a final score of 2-1, as well as outshooting the visiting Rams by 11 on the day.
West Chester University next plays a re-scheduled matchup from earlier in the season this upcoming Monday against the visitors East Stroudsburg University at 1:00 PM on Rockwell Field.
