WEST CHESTER, PA- After a wild game in the rain this past weekend, West Chester's Golden Rams came ready to play yet another conference matchup to start the new week. West Chester ended up with with a much-needed win against the conference rival East Stroudsburg University Warriors, with a final score of 1-0.
West Chester welcomed East Stroudsburg University, whom they just played last week and tied in a 2OT thriller. West Chester came out ready, as once more they outshot the visiting team in the first half, this time thirteen to East Stroudsburg's five. There were no goals in the first half, as both teams seemed evenly matched.
However, early in the second half the Golden Rams found a pivotal opening, as
Josh Daniels (Junior / Fleetwood, PA / Oley Valley) found the net in the 53
rd minute of play, putting the Golden Rams up by one.
East Stroudsburg continued to battle against our Golden Ram's defense, as Goalkeeper
Daniel Good (Junior / Exton, PA / Downingtown, PA) made five pivotal saves against the Warriors offensive attack in the second half.
West Chester University next goes to face Lock Haven University in a pivotal conference matchup this Wednesday at Hubert Jack Stadium on the campus of Lock Haven, at 5:00 PM.
