LOCK HAVEN, PA—The Golden Rams, coming off of a two-game winning streak over two conference rivals looked to continue their winning ways against yet another conference rival in Lock Haven University. West Chester started the game off big, forcing zero shots from Lock Haven in the first half, compared to West Chester's four.
Ryan Keenan (Bethlehem, PA / Northampton) fought hard against the Eagle defense, finally breaking through just after half time in the forty-ninth minute of play to make it 1-0 in favor of West Chester. However, the hosting Eagles unfortunately didn't let the Golden Rams off lightly. Lock Haven ended up outshooting the Golden Rams in the second half 8-7, with three late second half goals in the span of six minutes of play to put Lock Haven up 3-1. West Chester fought back, however it was not enough to defeat their conference rival Lock Haven, as the Golden Rams fell to Lock Haven University, 3-1.
West Chester University next goes to conference rival Millersville University this upcoming Saturday at 2:00 PM, where a pivotal conference matchup will take place.
