MEET RESULTS
BLOOMSBURG, PA – Senior
Logan Brockway (York, Pa./Dallastown) won a pair of events and led off the 200-yard medley relay that finished second as visiting West Chester defeated host Bloomsburg, 106-99, in a swimming dual meet Friday evening.
Â
Brockway touched the wall first in the 200 individual medley and the 100 backstroke.
Â
"Logan is our most versatile swimmer," WCU head coach
Steve Mazurek lauded. "He is good for a quick leadoff in the 200 medley, and he can stretch up to the 400 IM. He trains that way and is always looking for ways to make his team and teammates better."
Â
Collin Pettit (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) won a pair of races as well Friday, taking first in both distance events (500 free and 1000 free).
Tom Powell III (West Grove, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) was third in the 1000 and second in the 500 to his teammate.
Brody Heckman (Reading, Pa./Wilson) was runner-up in the 1000 while
Max Bachman (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) was third in the 500 as the Golden Rams took the top three spots in both distance events.
Â
Gabe Laslo (Wind Gap, Pa./Nazareth Academy) won the 100 butterfly for West Chester's other victory of the night.
Â
West Chester will now turn its attention to the Kenyon College Invitational in the middle of November for its next competition. The divers, idle on Friday, will compete at the Rowan Invitational Nov. 14.
