ERIE, PA – Valerie Van Kuijck (Denbosch, The Netherlands) registered a hat trick to lead No. 2 West Chester to a 6-1 road victory over host Mercyhurst in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) field hockey contest Saturday evening.
West Chester (9-2, 4-1 PSAC) scored a pair of goals in the second and three more in the third to open up a 1-1 game after 15 minutes of play with Mercyhurst (0-11, 0-4).

Olivia Quagliero each added a goal in the win.
Paige Wolfe (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) posted one assist.
Claire Nielsen (Wescosville, Pa./Emmaus) registered one save in 45 minutes of action to get the win.
Marycate London (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) played the fourth quarter, but did not face a shot.
West Chester opens up a four-game homestand on Wednesday at Vonnie Gros Field when Bloomsburg pays the Golden Rams a visit. Seton Hill will come calling one week from today.
