Box Score WEST CHESTER, PA – No. 19 Kutztown threw a 22-yard touchdown pass with eight seconds left in the game to pull out a 21-14 victory over homestanding West Chester inside John A. Farrell Stadium Saturday afternoon.
West Chester (6-4, 4-3 PSAC) finishes its conference slate in fourth place in the Eastern Division of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and will host Indiana, Pa., next Saturday at Farrell Stadium in the 2021 season finale.
Shane Dooley (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) finished 12-for-17 for 157 yards and two touchdowns. His TD passes went to Rasheem James (Philadelphia, Pa./Ben Franklin) from 20 yards out and Mari Wright (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna) from 16 yards out and put the host Golden Rams on top 14-0.
West Chester's defense kept Kutztown's offense in check most of the day, sacking the quarterback seven times in the process. Zach Liggitt (Danielsville, Pa./Northampton) posted a pair of sacks, including a sack-fumble in which he recovered his own forced fumble.
Kutztown's top-ranked rushing defense in the conference held West Chester's top-ranked rushing offense to just 89 yards on 35 carries.
