SLIPPERY ROCK, PA – Kyle McGee (Jersey City, N.J./St. Mary's the Assumption) led West Chester with 17 points, but host Slippery Rock downed the visiting Golden Rams, 86-81, Sunday afternoon inside Morrow Field House.
West Chester (7-3, 2-3 PSAC) lost for the first time on the road this season while Slippery Rock improved to 9-2 overall and 4-0 in the league.
Four Golden Rams were in double figures Sunday. Starters
Matt Dade (Collegeville, Pa./Episcopal) and
Robert Smith (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) each put up 15 and 14 points, respectively.
Dame Walls (Philadelphia, Pa./Constitution) contributed 11 points off the bench.
West Chester committed 19 turnovers, which Slippery Rock turned into 21 points in the game. The Rock shot 40 percent from beyond the 3-point arc as well.
West Chester is off until after the new year. The Golden Rams will host Kutztown on Jan. 5 at 7:30 pm.
