Jackson Taylor (Glenside, PA/Abington) was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week in the Eastern Division Monday morning. It marks the second straight week that a Golden Rams' defensive player has been recognized in the East.
Taylor finished with 13 tackles, including 2.5 for a loss and 1.5 sacks, in a 41-37 win over visiting Edinboro Saturday afternoon. He also was credited with a pass breakup iin West Chester's first football game inside Farrell Stadium in 672 days.

Michael Gobora, was named the PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week last week in the Golden Rams' victory over Mercyhurst.
West Chester (2-1) hits the road again on Saturday as the Golden Rams open up conference play with a 4 p.m. contest at Millersville (1-2).
