WALTHAM, MASS. – Bentley raced out to a 21-0 lead early in the second quarter and never looked back as the host Falcons downed the visiting West Chester Golden Rams, 41-17, Friday night at Bentley Stadium in the season opener for both teams.
Ja'Den McKenzie (Morton, Pa./Springfield) rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown to lead West Chester's offensive effort.
Michael Alexander (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep) returned a punt 41 yards for a touchdown late as well.
Zach Gilbert (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) went 5-for-13 for 32 yards.
Desman Johnson (Yeadon, Pa./Penn Wood) was 2-for-7 for 27 yards.
Yahmir Wilkerson (Harrisburg, Pa./Harrisburg) was 1-for-1 for 8 yards.
West Chester travels to Mercyhurst for its second game of the season next Saturday.
