WEST CHESTER, PA – Sophomore inside linebacker
Jackson Taylor (Glenside, Pa./Abington) was named to D2Football.com's Elite 100 for the 2021 campaign it was announced this week.
Taylor makes his initial appearance on the Elite 100 list and is the only Golden Rams' player mentioned. He helped lead West Chester to a 6-5 record overall in 2021.
Taylor, who earned his first all-region honor last month, led the Golden Rams and the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division in tackles with 98 stops on the year. The PSAC East Defensive Player of the Year was also a first team All-PSAC East selection and the PSAC East Defensive Player of the Week on September 20. He ranked fifth in the PSAC overall in tackles and 27th in the country. His 10.5 tackles for a loss ranked 12th in the PSAC, and his 3.5 sacks ranked 23rd in the PSAC overall. Taylor led WCU in QB hurries with four.
