Claudia Jazszcak (Coatesville, Pa./Downingtown West) scored a pair of goals as top-ranked West Chester passed its first road test of the season with a 4-0 shutout over host Adelphi in a non-conference field hockey contest Saturday afternoon.
West Chester (5-0) pitched its third straight shutout behind a stout defensive back line and So., GK
Megan Gula (Lincoln University, Pa./Avon Grove). Gula only had to make one save as the Golden Rams' defense limited the Panthers' attack to just one shot on goal in the contest. West Chester held a decided 35-3 advantage in shots overall.
Jaszczak scored unassisted in the fifth minute of the game, followed by a tally from
Valerie van Kuijck (Denbosch, The Netherlands) four minutes later, as the Golden Rams jumped on their opponents early as they have all season.

Dara Spavlik (Hockessin, Del./Conrad) scored off an assist from van Kuijck before halftime, and Jaszczak added her second of the game in the third to close out the scoring.
West Chester held an 11-3 advantage in penalty corners.
The Golden Rams return to the friendly confines of Vonnie Gros Field on Tuesday evening for a 6 p.m. showdown with Indiana (Pa.). That will be the first of two meetings with the Crimson Hawks. That meeting will be a non-conference affair.
