Lila McMahon-Skates (West Linn, Ore./West Linn) added a hat trick as third-ranked West Chester University cruised to a 17-4 victory over host Shippensburg in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division clash Saturday afternoon.
West Chester (6-0, 2-0 PSAC East) ran out to an 11-1 lead by halftime and never looked back against Shippensburg (1-5, 0-2). McMahon-Skates made most of her first career start adding an assist to her three-goal effort.
McMahon-Skates fueled an 11-goal spurt in the first half after the Raiders opened the scoring with all three of her tallies in the first quarter.
Taylor O'Brien (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) closed out the run with a pair of goals one minute apart with eight minutes left in the half.
Brenna Smith (Upper Arlington, Ohio/Upper Arlington) also scored a pair of goals during the decisive run.
Keri Barnett (Glenolden, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) led all point-getters with seven points. She equaled her career-high with six assists.
Grace Frasso (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) finished the game with a season-best seven draw controls. She added four ground balls on the afternoon as well.

Jessica Gorr (Exton, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) made four saves earning her sixth save of the season in 52 minutes.
Ellie Hughes (Abington, Pa./Abington) made one save in the final eight minutes. Shippensburg's Kayla Vosburg was credited with 13 stops.
West Chester returns home on Tuesday for a PSAC East showdown with No. 10 East Stroudsburg at 4 p.m.
