BLOOMSBURG, Pa.- The West Chester University men's tennis team returned to action on Thursday at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Atlantic Region Individual Championships at the Burt Reese Tennis Center on the campus of Bloomsburg University.
In doubles action,
Lucas Henke (Rockwall, Tx./Rockwall Heath) and
Brady Burns (Narvon, Pa./Peques Valley) kicked off the new season with a hard-fought battle against Vicente Garcia and Omar Elsamahy of the University of Charleston (W.V.), eventually falling by a 6-0 final.
In singles play, Henke dropped his match to Vishesh Patel of Bloomsburg by a 6-2, 6-4 final, while
Felix Weber (Wolfenbuettel, Germany/IMG Academy) fell to Axel Dormann of West Virginia State by a 6-4, 6-3 final in the final singles match of the day for the Golden Rams.
