West Chester wrapped up its September slate and road trip with a 3-0 victory over Goldey-Beacom on Saturday morning, making short work of its hosts winning 25-19, 25-23, and 25-17 to secure the season sweep of the Lightning. Delaware native Anna Richardson (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna) led West Chester in kills with 13, while Zoe Haines (York, Pa./York Suburban) added 10 kills of her own. Lacie Brown (Cochranville, Pa./Avon Grove), named PSAC East Athlete of the Week a week ago, led the team in assists with 33 while also coming away with a team-best two aces.

Richardson and Haines lead the team in kills with 118 and 105, respectively, while Brown is the team’s leader in assists with 272 along with 85 digs, which ranks second on the team, trailing only Sydney Heffner (Bath, Pa./Northampton) with 171. Nicole Dimiris (Hockessin, Del./Saint Mark’s) leads the team in blocks with 39, while Megan St. Jean (Eaton, Co./Eaton) and Julia Kwitchoff (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Niagara Wheatfield) are first and second in aces with 17 and 15, respectively.
Home Sweet Home
West Chester returns home from its nine-match road trip for Wednesday night’s battle vs Lincoln but will return to the road for more away from Hollinger after this, visiting Lock Haven and Bloomsburg this weekend before heading to Shepherd and Shippensburg the following weekend. West Chester will not play its first PSAC match at home until October 18 against East Stroudsburg on what will also be the start of the Golden Rams' annual Dig Pink Weekend. Fans making the trip to Lock Haven for the Golden Rams match on October 4 should be advised that tickets are required and can be purchased via this link.
Turning of the Tide
After a slow start to the year, West Chester has won four of its last five matches, dating back to a 3-0 victory over Caldwell on September 21. With a victory on Wednesday night, West Chester would jump above .500 for the first time this season heading into an important weekend of PSAC East road play.

West Chester has dropped just one set throughout these 11 meetings after winning by a 3-1 final on the road a year ago. West Chester has not hosted Lincoln in Hollinger since September 2022 but has never dropped a set to the Lions in any of the five matches played on University Avenue.

Lincoln enters play on Wednesday night for its first win of the season, as the Lions are 0-7 after falling at Bluefield State last Thursday night.
