LOCK HAVEN, PA - West Chester University senior place-kicker,
Sean Henry (Reading, Pa./Exeter) was named the Specialist of the Week in the Eastern Division of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Monday afternoon. It is the first such honor for the senior kicker this season and marks the third time in the last four weeks that a West Chester player has copped one of the three weekly awards.
Henry had an excellent game on Saturday afternoon in what was likely his final home game at Tomlinson-Fillippo Field at Farrell Stadium, going 3-for-3 on extra points while also hitting a pair of 30+-yard (34, 31) field goals to account for nine of the Golden Rams 27 points. The senior also handled kickoff duties as usual, registering a pair of touchbacks to help neutralize the Lock Haven kick return unit. Â
Henry bounced back from a disappointing outing against Millersville a week earlier and is currently second on the team in scoring with 48 points this year. He has hit on 33 of 34 extra point attempts while going 5-for-8 on field goals with a season long of 50 yards against Seton Hill.
West Chester heads to Kutztown on Saturday for the team's final game of the 2024 campaign against the nationally ranked Golden Bears.
