WEST CHESTER, PA.- The West Chester women's tennis team (3-7) returned the courts fors its second match of the weekend against the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) (11-6,) down at the South Campus Tennis Courts. West Chester battled throughout the afternoon but fell to the visitors by a 5-2 final.
The Golden Rams would start the match off with a 1-0 lead after winning two of the three doubles matches, earning them the doubles point. Wins from

Amber Nguyen (Exton, PA/West Chester East) gave West Chester the start it was looking for.
In singles play, UDC withdrew its sixth singles spot, which gave the hosts a 2-0 lead. Wins from the first, second, and fourth spot flipped the score line 3-2 in favor of the visitors.
Ashleigh Grooms (Newport, Ky/The Summit Country Day School) played her second three set match of the weekend falling to UDC's Sofia Bellucco. Bellucco's clinched the match and UDC went to win by a 5-2 final.
