CALDWELL, N.J.- Anna Richardson (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna) led all players in kills with 10, while
Lacie Brown (Cochranville, Pa./Avon Grove) added a team-high four aces to help lead the West Chester University women's volleyball team (3-5) to a dominant 3-0 (25-15, 25-7, 25-11) victory over Caldwell (0-6) on Saturday afternoon.
West Chester halted its two-match losing streak in dominant fashion on Saturday afternoon, vanquishing Caldwell in just over an hour with a stellar .522 hitting percentage for the match, including a .684 effort in its dominant 25-7 second-set victory.
West Chester trailed only briefly in the early stages of the first set on Saturday afternoon before a 5-0 run gave the visitors a 7-4 lead and helped WCU to never trail again en route to a dominant 3-0 road triumph.
Richardson led West Chester in kills, while Brown posted a team-high four aces and 33 assists to help run the offense throughout the afternoon.
Julia Kwitchoff (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Niagara Wheatfield) led the way in blocks with three, while Richardson and
Zoe Haines (York, Pa./York Suburban) chipped in two each.
Sydney Heffner (Bath, Pa./Northampton) led the team in digs with eight, while
Megan Wolfe (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) came away with five digs of her own in the three-set triumph.
For Caldwell, Wyette Schubert-Brown led the team in kills with five, while Jordan Mack led in aces (two), assists (seven), and digs (five) in the setback.
