Men's Tennis Set to Face Chestnut Hill on Tuesday Afternoon

WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University men’s tennis team is finishing its preparations for its first dual match of the year against a non-conference foe in the Chestnut Hill College Griffins at 3:30 p.m. on South Campus.

Last Time Out

West Chester opened its 2024-25 campaign at the ITA Atlantic Regional Tournament in Bloomsburg two weeks ago as a small contingent of Golden Rams got their seasons underway. Felix Weber (Wolfenbuettel, Germany/IMG Academy) and Brady Burns (Narvon, Pa./Peques Valley) advanced to the second round of the men’s doubles tournament. Andres Urrutia (Guatemala City, Guatemala/APDE Solalto) and Lucas Henke (Rockwall, Tx./Rockwall Heath) fell in their opening doubles match and opening singles matches to round out the West Chester contingent in Bloomsburg.

Roster Check

Weber, Burns, Urrutia, and Henke make up a small portion of a deep roster for head coach Tina Tharp and the Golden Rams as West Chester also returns, Devin McBridge (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) and Sam Robertson (Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic) along with newcomers Alex Burks (Wilmington, Del./Mount Pleasant), Mateus DeVasconcellos (Weston, Fl./Cypress Bay), Voyin Markovic (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga), and Nico Pascale (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East).
