SHIPPENSBURG, PA – Top-ranked Shippensburg scored one goal in each quarter and kept visiting West Chester off the board in the first half en route to a 4-1 victory in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) field hockey contest Saturday afternoon.
West Chester (7-3, 2-1) back
Ella Shockley (Delmar, Del./Delmar) scored the Golden Rams' goal. But, Shippensburg (10-0, 3-0) kept West Chester at bay for much of the game.
Shippensburg got goals from four different players in the win. Raiders' goalkeeper Emma Albee made seven saves in the win while West Chester's
Audra Szymborski (Furlong, Pa./Central Bucks East) made nine stops for the visitors.
West Chester will be back in action one week from today when they host Frostburg State at 1:00 p.m. at Vonnie Gros Field on Senior Day for the Golden Rams.
