Box Score EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa.- After remaining unbeaten in league play with a 3-2 win over Kutztown a night ago, the West Chester University women's volleyball team (11-3, 2-1) returned to action on Saturday afternoon at East Stroudsburg (12-4, 2-0). West Chester battled throughout the afternoon but fell to the homestanding Warriors by a 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-14) final.
Abiah Lane (Ardmore, Pa./Lower Merion) led West Chester in kills with nine while
Zoe Haines chipped in eight of her own.
Lacie Brown (Cochranville, Pa./Avon Grove) led West Chester in assists with 31 while
Megan Wolfe (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) led the team in digs with 13.
The first set, which featured a nearly 17-minute delay due to technical difficulties, was close throughout, with the score locked at 10-10 through the first 20 points of the match. East Stroudsburg answered with an 8-3 run to take an 18-13 lead over the Golden Rams late in the first set. West Chester countered with a 4-1 run, which cut the deficit to 19-17 before an ESU kill halted the run and gave the Warriors a 20-17 lead en route to a 25-19 first-set victory.
After a nearly hour-long first set, West Chester jumped out to a 5-2 lead in the second set before the Warriors found their footing and cut the Golden Rams lead to 10-7 early in the set. The set remained tight down as it continued, but a late run by the Warriors lifted the hosts to a 25-23 second-set victory and a 2-0 lead in the match.
East Stroudsburg jumped out to a 7-3 lead in the third set before capturing the set by a 25-14 final to lift the Warriors to a 3-0 victory over West Chester on Saturday afternoon.

West Chester will be back in action on Wednesday night at home against Felician, beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday night's match will be the first of a five-game homestand, which will include games against Bloomsburg and Lock Haven next weekend.
