Men's Soccer Lands Three on Collegiate Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team

WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The Collegiate Sports Communicators (CSC) released their 2025 Academic All-District honorees for men's soccer on Tuesday afternoon and West Chester had three players honored as Ian Alicea (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Lower Moreland), Jason Goldfeder (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff), and Joseph Maxwell (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) were honored for their efforts in the classroom and on the field.

In order to be eligible for this award, student-athletes must possess at least a 3.50 GPA and have played in 90 % of the institution's games played.  

With this honor, Alicea, Goldfeder, and Maxwell advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America ® honorees will be announced December 16 (men) and December 17, 2025 (women).

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.

Alicea was an All-PSAC East selection once again in 2025 as he turned in an excellent effort on the backline, quarterbacking the defense as a junior captain, while also scoring three goals for six points on the season.

Goldfeder finished his tenure as a Golden Ram this fall with 19 games played and eight starts, adding an assist as he helped West Chester return to the PSAC Semifinals for the third season in a row.

Maxwell was the third and final Golden Ram honored by the Association on Tuesday as he appeared in 19 games with 12 starts and scored three goals for six points, including the game-winning goal in a season-opening victory over Jefferson.
