Bucknell Opener Results
CHESTER, PA- The West Chester University Women's Track & Field team opened its 2025-2026 campaign this weekend, competing at both the Bucknell Bison Opener and the Armory Collegiate Distance Carnival.
BUCKNELLOPENER
Amanda Marquis (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) placed in the top 11 in all five categories of the pentathlon. Marquis ran 2 minutes 36.02 seconds earning runner up in the 800m, concluding with an impressive overall score of 2,623.
Kaylie Groff (Palmyra, Pa. Palmyra) placed fifth in the pole vault with a mark of 11 feet, 01.75 inches.
Hannah Lafave (Spring Brook Township, Pa./North Pocono) finished sixth, clearing 11-01.75.
Emily Donoghen ( Hershey, Pa./Hershey) tied for 11th in the event with a mark of 10-08.00.
Molly Minor (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial) placed fifth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:01.12, and
Genevieve McDonald (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) placed seventh.
Kaitlynn Keller (Dallas, Pa. / Dallas) won the 500m with a time of 1:26.19.
Kamryn Fontaine (Dubois, Pa./Dubois Area) finished fourth in the event, running 1:30.96.
Katharine Thomas (West Chester, Pa.) placed fifth overall with a time of 1:33.98.
West Chester's 'A' squad finished second in the 4x400m relay with a time of 4:20.03.
The Armory Collegiate Distance Carnival
Kristina Tapia (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) finished second in the 5000 meters with a PSAC qualifying time of 17:21.16.
Jessalyn Welsh (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) placed ninth with a PSAC qualifying time of 18:23.64.
Megan Werner (Bristol, Pa./Conwell Egan) took 11th with a PSAC qualifying time of 18:39.61.
Grace O'Brien (Coatesville, Pa./Collegium Charter) finished 15th in the event with a time of 20:27.62.
