WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The Collegiate Sports Communicators released their Academic All-District team on Wednesday morning, and
Dylan Blair (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) was named to the All-District squad in recognition of his efforts on the court and in the classroom throughout the 2024-25 season.
Blair is the first men's basketball player to earn this honor since Matt Penecale in 2018-19 and is just the second Golden Ram to be recognized in this honor since the turn of the century.
To be eligible for this award, student-athletes must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 and have participated in at least 90% of the institution's games.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division II and III Academic All-America programs.
With this honor, Blair advances to the CSC Academic All-America Ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America ® honorees will be announced on April 15, 2025.
On the court, Blair enjoyed an excellent first season with the Golden Rams, appearing in and starting 29 games, averaging 10.1 points per game on 39.8% shooting from the field, along with 36.1% from deep, and four assists per game. Blair scored a season-high vs Jefferson on November 20 while setting season-highs in rebounding (12; 12/7/24) and assists (11; 1/18/25) to help West Chester match its single-season win record and win its first outright PSAC East title since 2006.
