Steve Mazurek was named Coach of the Year for the seventh time in eight seasons after guiding his charges to their 22
nd PSAC Championship over the winter.
On the heels of its 22
nd Championship and 18
th in 19 seasons, Mazurek earned PSAC Women's Swimming Coach of the Year honors for the seventh time in eight years with the lone exception being the 2021 season when West Chester did compete due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Mazurek also copped PSAC Men's Swimming Coach of the Year honors this afternoon, marking the fourth time in his tenure at the helm in which he has been honored as the men's coach of the year. With the combination of these two awards, Mazurek has now been recognized by the league office 11 times in his career at the helm of the two programs.
This recognition also marks the fourth time in which Mazurek has been recognized as the Coach of the Year for both the Golden Rams men's and women's swimming programs with the last such occasion coming at the end of the 2021-22 season. Mazurek was also honored with both teams at the end of the 2017-18 and 2019-20 campaigns.
