Box Score COLLEGEVILLE, Pa.- The West Chester University men's tennis team went on the road to earn its first win of the season on Thursday afternoon, defeating Ursinus by a 4-3 final after sweeping doubles and winning first, third, and fourth singles.
West Chester swept doubles as
Brady Burns and
Felix Weber won first doubles 6-1 while
Mateus DeVasconcellos and
Andres Urrutia won their second doubles match 6-4.
Sam Robertson and
Lucas Henke won their third doubles match by a 6-1 final to close the sweep.
In singles play, Henke won his match 6-4, 6-1, while Burns triumphed 6-2, 6-1 and Weber won by a 7-5, 6-1 final to help West Chester earn the 4-3 victory. Henke's victory at first singles clinched the match for the Golden Rams.
