WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The NCAA Division II women's lacrosse team committee released its second set of regional rankings and first numbered set of the season on Wednesday afternoon. No. 1/2 West Chester (14-0, 10-0) was ranked first in the latest regional rankings as the final week of the regular season continues.
With two games to play (including today's clash vs Shepherd), West Chester remains the lone unbeaten team in Division II women's lacrosse and leads the rankings as one of five PSAC teams in the top six and one of six on the eight-team list.
Slippery Rock is second in the rankings, followed by East Stroudsburg, Kutztown, Seton Hill, Wingate, Limestone, and Millersville.
West Chester plays its final regular season home game today on Vonnie Gros against Shepherd, but knows its season will continue at home next week as the Golden Rams clinched the PSAC East Regular Season crown last week with their win over Kutztown and will host the PSAC Tournament on May 2 and 4.
One more set of numerical rankings is due to be released next Wednesday ahead of the Selection Show on NCAA.com on Sunday, May 4 at 8:30 p.m.
