West Chester enters play on Saturday following a 5-2 setback at the hands of Kutztown on Tuesday afternoon at Kutztown.
Felix Weber and
Mateus DeVasconcellos both earned singles victories in three sets for WCU, winning the opening sets 6-0 and 6-2 before dropping the second set and winning the third 6-3 and 7-5.
Brady Burns gave his third singles foe all he could handle in the setback, dropping the opening set 7-6 (10-8) before winning the second 6-3 and taking the third all the way to 13-11 before falling.
Scouting Shepherd
Shepherd heads into the weekend at 2-9 on the year in search of its first PSAC victory of the season, after losing each of the last seven matches, with six of those seven coming by 7-0 finals. The Rams' last win and first since an October victory over Juniata came during a spring break trip to Hilton Head, which saw the Rams topple West Liberty by a 6-1 final in an afternoon clash.
