WEST CHESTER, PA
Keri Barnett (Glenolden, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) scored four goals, and Madeline Edinger (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) added a hat trick as No. 1/2 West Chester downed No. 18/16 Seton Hill in the semifinals of the 2025 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) postseason tournament on a sun-splashed and hot Friday afternoon.

West Chester (16-0) pulled away from an upset-minded Seton Hill (13-6) team in the second half by scoring four goals in the third to open up a 14-8 lead at the time, and then tacked on three more in the fourth to advance to its 33rd conference championship game on Sunday. The Golden Rams will go for its third straight PSAC title in front of the home crowd at Vonnie Gros Field on Sunday.

Slippery Rock (16-1) defeated East Stroudsburg (14-5) in overtime in the other semifinal Friday. The Rock advances to its first women's lacrosse championship game in school history with the win.

Barnett, who was held without a point in the first half, scored all four of her goals after halftime. She broke the conference record for goals in a single season and also surpassed the century mark on the year. The senior midfielder now has 101 goals on the season.

Lila McMahon Skates (West Linn, Ore./West Linn) finished with one goal and a team-best four assists for a five-point effort. Sydney Wasdick (Pottsgrove, Pa./Pottsgrove), Kendall Fortune (Jarrettville, Md./North Harford) and Nicolette Giordano (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) each scored a pair of goals in the win as well.

Goalkeeper Hannah Cornelius (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) played the first 35 minutes and made four saves. She was relieved by Morgan Koons (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestview) with the game tied at 7-7, who made two saves the rest of the way to pick up her sixth win of the season.

Barnett fueled a three-goal run in the third quarter with a pair of tallies sandwiched around one of Giordano's markers. That spurt came at the right time with things knotted up at 7-apiece. Seton Hill's Skylar Orkowski (2 goals, 4 assists) temporarily stopped the bleeding. However, a four-goal outburst from the Golden Rams, powered again by a pair of goals from Barnett, opened up an insurmountable 14-8 advantage. Seton Hill potted the last three goals of the game late in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough to overcome the Golden Rams.

The 2025 PSAC Championship Game will take place on Sunday at 12 p.m. at Vonnie Gros Field. The winner of that contest will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The selection show for that tournament can be seen live on NCAA.com at 8:30 p.m. Sunday evening.
