ATLANTA- The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) released its Division II Team Academic honors, and the West Chester University women's basketball team was among the teams receiving special mention in recognition of their efforts in the classroom during the 2024-25 season.
The WBCA announced the top-25 team GPAs in each Division on Wednesday. Any team, including West Chester, not in the top-25 but with a combined GPA of 3.0 or above was honored on the Special Mention list. The 2024-25 season marks the 30
th year in a row in which the WBCA has compiled this list.
"The WBCA is pleased to recognize those women's basketball programs that have committed themselves to excellence on the court and in the classroom," said WBCA Executive Director Danielle Donehew. "The 119 teams we honor this year strive to achieve all-around success and we commend their efforts. Congratulations!"
West Chester (15-15, 11-10) ended the year with combined GPA of 3.44 and a return trip to the PSAC Quarterfinals after defeating Millersville in a PSAC Tournament First Round matchup in early March.
