NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – West Chester University's women's lacrosse program came in at No. 4 in the preseason coaches poll released by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Monday morning.
West Chester finished 19-1 a year ago and reached the Atlantic Region Final for the sixth consecutive year. The Golden Rams return 15 letterwinners from last year's team that won the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) for the third straight season.
The Golden Rams open their 2026 campaign in a rematch of both the Atlantic Region Final and the PSAC Championships against Slippery Rock at home on Feb. 21.
The University of Tampa, the two-time defending national champions, opens the 2026 season atop the IWLCA Division II poll.
Adelphi, coming off a finals appearance last year, claims the No. 2 spot, followed by Florida Southern at No. 3, and UIndy rounding out the Top 5.
