WEST CHESTER, PA – The West Chester University Men's Swimming and Diving Team returns this Friday to host a dual meet for Senior Night against Division I foe, University of Pennsylvania. The meet will begin at 5 p.m. with the Senior ceremony before the meet.

West Chester University dominated the John A. Pidgeon Memorial Invitational with a first-place finish upon returning from holiday break. The Golden Rams claimed the top two spots in the 400 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay. The team also claimed the top five spots in the 500 free, as well as the top three spots in the 200 butterfly.
Bartosz Brzozowski won the 400 medley relay and took first place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 51.79 seconds. He also took second place for the 400 free relay.
Nathan Noel won the 200 butterfly in 1 minute, 57.70 Noel also led off the fourth place 400 free relay squad.
Paul Demesy won the 500 free with a time of 4:40.89.
Danny Dunigan took second with a time of 4:45.13, while
Marti Rosell Diez took third with a time of 4:45.17. Symon Kapala took fourth, and
Jacob Texter took fifth.

West Chester University swimmers were among the honorees for the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America's Scholar All-America Team. West Chester's men's team put 22 individuals on the Scholar All-America Team and produced a team grade-point average of 3.38.

The West Chester University's diving team will be back in action on Feb. 13-14 at the Division II PA Diving Invitational at Clarion University. The swim team will hit the pool next at the PSAC Swimming Championships from Feb. 18-21 in York, Pa.
