BLOOMSBURG, Pa.- The West Chester University men's tennis team is set to return to action this weekend at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Atlantic Regional Individual Championships at the Burt Reese Tennis Center on the campus of Bloomsburg University.
Originally scheduled to begin on Friday, the Tournament was shifted to get underway on Saturday morning due to rain in the forecast for Friday.

In singles play,
Francisco Moreno, Thomaz Joly (Indaiatuba, Brazil/Colegio Saber), and JP Beirana Guzman (Morelia, Mexico/Universidad Internacional Jefferson) are expected to compete in the main singles draw against foes from Fairmont State (Noah Liedtke), Charleston (Kensei Konishi), and Fairmont State (Gabriel Masu), respectively.
Ashton Bunch (Kingwood, Tex./iUniversity prep), Zack Bull (Southwater, Great Britain/The Forest School), and Alessandro Melotti (Hollywood, Fl/.NSU University School) are slated to compete in the "B" draw as Bull will face Joel Oetliker in the Round of 16, while Bunch and Melotti have byes into the Quarterfinals.
In doubles action, Joly and Beirana Guzman will face Nils Pottbecker and Elias Lagger of Charleston in the Round of 32 in the main draw. In the "B" draw, Melotti and Moreno will face Nicolas Mustea and Ryder Fink of Bloomsburg in the East Quarterfinals, while Bunch and Bull have a bye into the East semifinals where they will await the winners of the Jack Taggert/Mika Joshua Rodermond (Salem) vs Yannick Gymolay/Fran Hernandez Olmo (Bloomsburg) match.
The Weather
After avoiding rain on Friday, conditions are projected to improve throughout the weekend, with a high of 50 on Saturday and highs of 60, 66, and 72 on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The final matches of the 2026 ITA Atlantic Regional Tournament will be played on Tuesday in Bloomsburg.
