BETHLEHEM, Pa.- The West Chester University women's cross country team returned to action on Friday afternoon at Lehigh for the 52
nd Annual Paul Short Run.
Maddie Taylor (Northfield, N.J./Linwood) led West Chester in the open 6K in 24 minutes and 17.8 seconds as one of six Golden Rams to run on Friday morning in the second race of the day.
West Chester was scheduled to compete in the Brown Division 6K later in the afternoon beginning at 2:45, but this race, along with all other races after 12:30 p.m., was canceled due to heat and unsafe conditions.
In the open 6K,
Reese Billings (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) was next across the line in 24:29.8, followed by
Violet Forte (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) in 25:37.6
, Leah Richie (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) in 26:11.2,
Rylee McEvoy (Edison, N.J./Edison) in 26:41.2, and
Sam Moench (South Plainfield, N.J./South Plainfield) in 27:54.0.
