Five Things to Know
  1. West Chester returns to the cross country course on Saturday morning for the final regular-season meet of the fall season after picking up its fourth win of the fall at the Golden Ram Open in Coatesville on October 10. Wyatt Nelson (Middleburg, Pa./Midd-West) paced West Chester in this event with a 4K course-record-setting time of 12:39.0.
  2. West Chester has won the team and individual titles at four of five meets that the team has entered this season, with the lone exception being the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh in early October, when West Chester ran in the top men's division race against a host of Division I competitors and finished 28th, led by a 43rd-place finish by Matt Remishofski (Wall, N.J./Wall) in 24 minutes and 53.8 seconds, which led to him earning PSAC Athlete of the Week honors. Remishofski's time remains the second fastest in the PSAC this fall and puts him as one of two Golden Rams in the top-five on the PSAC 8K performance list, with Josh Miller (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) close behind in fourth with a time of 25:06.6 at the Paul Short.
  3. West Chester will compete alongside Bloomsburg, California, Clarion, Edinboro, Fairmont State, Findlay, Frostburg State, Gannon, Glenville State, Kutztown, Lewis, Lock Haven, Malone, Mansfield, Pitt-Johnstown, Point Park, Seton Hill, Shawnee State, Slippery Rock, Tiffin, Ursuline, Walsh, and West Liberty.
  4. Conditions look to be excellent on Saturday morning in Lock Haven, with highs in the mid-50s under sunny skies with minimal wind.
  5. Saturday's race is a final tune-up of sorts for West Chester as the Golden Rams will not compete next week before heading to Bloomsburg for the PSAC Championships on November 7 and North Carolina for the Regional Championships on November 21.
