Five Things to Know
  1. West Chester returns to the field on Saturday after settling for a 1-1 draw against Lackawanna on Rockwell Field on Wednesday afternoon. Peter Tichy (Bethlehem, Pa./Freedom) gave West Chester a 1-0 lead with a PK goal in the 63rd minute, but Lackawanna found the equalizer off a corner with under five seconds to play to escape West Chester with its sixth draw of the season.
  2. Tichy's goal on Wednesday was his fourth of the season and has the 2024 PSAC East Player of the Year tied for first on the team in scoring with four goals and three assists for 11 points. Maksym Komperda (Whitehall, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) is tied with Tichy for the top spot with a team-best five goals and one assist for 11 points of his own. In goal, Alexi Amanatidis (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./The Shipley School) made his first start since early September on Wednesday afternoon and is now 0-1-2 on the year with a 1.20 goals-against average, while PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week, Jaden Howard (Townsend, Del./Middletown) had the day off and is 6-3-3 with a 0.72 goals-against average and seven shutouts.
  3.  Saturday's game will be CSI's final game of the 2026 season as the Dolphins enter play on a three-game losing streak and a four-game winless streak, including a 1-0 loss to St. Thomas Aquinas on what was originally scheduled as the season finale on October 21.  Yair Roman and Peterson Larose are first and second on the team in scoring with five goals and two assists for 12 points and two goals and four assists for eight points, respectively.  In goal, Carlos Romero Astacio is 4-5-2 with a 1.36 goals-against average in 990 minutes of action.
  4. Saturday's game was a late addition to the schedule for both sides in response to West Chester's opener vs. Jefferson and CSI's opener vs. Assumption being postponed and later canceled due to inclement weather on August 27th.
  5. Saturday's meeting is believed to be the first-ever meeting between West Chester and the College of Staten Island. The Dolphins are the Golden Rams' second first-time opponent of the season, as West Chester also opened its history against Lackawanna earlier this fall, finishing its first season series with the Falcons at 1-0-1 against them.
