Women's Volleyball Finishes 2026 Season with 3-1 Road Victory over Bloomsburg

BLOOMSBURG, Pa.- The West Chester University women's volleyball team (11-18, 3-11) finished off the 2026 season with a 3-1 victory over Bloomsburg (11-15, 2-12) on the road on Saturday afternoon. West Chester exacted revenge for a loss in Hollinger earlier this season with its 3-1 triumph over the Huskies, dropping the second set by a 25-13 final while winning the first (25-22), third (25-20), and fourth (25-18) sets.

CeCe Isenberg (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) led West Chester in kills with 12, along with 10 kills each from Anna Richardson (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna) and Julia Kwitchoff (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Niagara-Wheatfield). Kwitchoff also led West Chester in blocks with seven, while Gwen Atkins (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) and Elianna Freeman (Jersey Village, Tx./Jersey Village) led the way in aces with four and three, respectively.

Bria Stepp (Cranberry Twp, Pa./Seneca Valley) led West Chester in assists with 21, while Hailey Atkins (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) led the team in digs with 13 along with 12 from Freeman.

West Chester hit .333 in the first (17-4-39) and third (15-4-33) sets, which allowed the Golden Rams to overcome a second-set loss and jump out to a 2-1 lead heading into the fourth set, which saw West Chester hit .174 (15-7-46) to hold on for a 3-1 win over the homestanding Huskies.

West Chester hit .231 (57-21-156) in the victory, while Bloomsburg hit .256 (44-13-121), including a match-best .455 (16-1-33) effort in the second set as Sasha Moody led all players in kills with 17 in the season-ending loss.

Today's match concludes the 2026 season for West Chester as despite a victory in the season finale the Golden Rams fall short of a return to the PSAC Tournament.
