Men's Track and Field Concludes Busy Split Squad Weekend

WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University men's track and field squad was back in action throughout the weekend, competing at the Bucknell Bison Challenge and Multi and Widener Schuylkill Showdown Friday through Sunday. West Chester started its weekend at Bucknell on Friday and Saturday while also spending part of Saturday and the entirety of Sunday in the City of Brotherly Love for the Widener Schuylkill Showdown at the Ott Center at the University of Pennsylvania.

Bucknell Bison Challenge and Multi

Chase Hildebrand (Chalfont, Pa./C.B. South) competed in the heptathlon and won the 60-meter dash in 7.17 seconds, finished third in the shot put with a mark of 37 feet 1 inch (11.30 meters), and 11th in the long jump with a mark of 17-4 ¾ (5.3m) before withdrawing.

Josh Miller (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) took second in the mile in 4 minutes and 19.48 seconds, while Matthew Remishofski (Wall, N.J./Wall) finished third in the 3K in 8:34.85.

Aiden Schwartz (Allentown, N.J./Allentown) led West Chester in the 800 with a seventh-place finish in 2:01.29.
West Chester also placed fifth in the 4000 DMR in 10:31.77.

Widener Schuylkill Showdown

Evan McCracken (Johnstown, Pa./Richland) and Andre Jackson-Littlejohn (Royersford, Pa./Spring Ford) took second and fifth in the 60 meters in 6.85 and 6.97 seconds.

Ryan Wack (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) led West Chester in the mile with an 18th-place finish in 4:34.17. Wack also paced West Chester in the 800, crossing the line in 2:05.92.

David Burnshaw (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) led West Chester in the 200 with a 12th-place finish in 22.33 seconds, while also leading the squad in 400 with a second-place finish in a time of 49.05 seconds. Bishop Lane (Wilmington, Del./Salesianum) joined Burnshaw in the top-10 with an eighth-place finish in 49.59 seconds.

Nick Forman (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) led West Chester in the 5000 with a 15th-place finish in 15:55.25, while Louie Edgcumbe (West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) was 17th in 16:06.21.

West Chester wrapped up its weekend on the track with a third-place finish in the 4x400 in 3:20.93.

 Ronald Leraris (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) led West Chester in the long jump with an 11th-place finish and a mark of 21-6 (6.55m).

Jake Jones (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) won the pole vault with a mark of 14-5 ¼ (4.4m) followed by Seth Tshudy (Phoenixville, Pa./Great Valley) in third with a mark of 13-5 ¼ (4.1m).

Jacob Joslin (West Chester, Pa./East) led West Chester in the shot put with a mark of 47-9 ¼ (14.56m) to finish seventh, while Brodyn Wolfert (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) led West Chester in the weight throw with a ninth-place finish and a mark of 46-4 ¼ (14.13m).

Chase Parkinson (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) led West Chester in the triple jump with a sixth-place finish and a mark of 46-5 ¼ (14.15m).
