WEST CHESTER, PA – Members of West Chester University's men's track & field squad took part in Friday's Last Chance Meet inside Farrell Stadium.
The field events really shined for the Golden Rams Friday.
Jacob Joslin (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) won the shot put by putting it 50-feet, 5 ¼ inches. He came close to the NCAA Division II provisional distance (16.65m). His best mark was 15.37 meters.
Thomas Smith (Wallingford, Pa. Cardinal O'Hara) by putting the shot 50-2 ½ inches.
Collin Niedrowski (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) tried to improve his provisional mark from earlier in the season. He thew the jav 199-01 to win the event.
Jake Jones (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) won the pole vault by clearing 14-11.
Seth Tshudy (Phoenixville, PA/Great Valley) was third with a personal-best 14-5 ¼ .
Robert Karol (Easton, Pa./Easton) finished fourth with a height of 11-5 ¾ .
Colin Quinney (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) hit a new personal best by putting the shot 42-0 ¾ and finishing fourth.
On the track,
Andre Jackson-Littlejohn (Royersford, Pa./Spring Ford) won the 100-meter dash in a time of 10.71 seconds. That came just over the provisional time of 10.43. He also finished fourth in the 200m in 22.13. That was very close to the NCAA provisional time of 21.11.
Jhaven Sims-Pagan (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) finished fourth in both the 110m hurdles and the 400 hurdles. His time of 53.81 just missed the provisional time of 53.06, but it was a personal best for him.
Terry Dweh (Darby, Pa./Penn Wood) finished third in the 400m in 48.92.
Billy Zane (Springfield, Pa./Springfield Delco) finished second in the 800m in a time of 1 minute, 54.49 seconds.
Aiden Schwartz (Allentown, N.J./Allentown) was fourth with a personal best time of 1:55.95.
Chris Frank (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) put up a personal best time of 2:00.32 that was good for sixth.
Josh Miller (Coatesville, Pa. Coatesville),
Nick Forman (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) and
Louis Edgcumbe (West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) all hit personal bests in the 1500m finishing third, fourth and fifth, respectively. Miller posted a time of 3:51.62 while Forman put up a 4:10.94 and Edgcumbe finished in 4:11.35.
