WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University men's track and field squad is set to return to action as a full team one final time this week in West Chester for the WCU Last Chance Invitational inside John A. Farrell Stadium on Friday afternoon. The Golden Rams have a few NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championship hopefuls, who reside squarely on the bubble to make the field but they will have to wait until next week to learn if their season will continue in Emporia, Kansas later in May.

West Chester returns home for its regular-season finale this week after a sixth-place finish at the PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships last weekend at Shippensburg.
Thursday Recap
Josh Miller (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) placed second in the 10K in 29:58.65 as he earned another All-Conference certificate and continued an excellent 2025-26 season on the opening day of the 2026 PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Miller scored the first points of the 2026 Outdoor Championships for West Chester with this effort, which saw him lead for multiple 800-meter stretches throughout the race. With his eight points, West Chester is tied for fifth in the team standings heading into Friday and just two points back of East Stroudsburg in second with 10 points.
Chase Hildebrand (Chalfont, Pa./C.B. South) got things started for West Chester on Thursday with the first five events of the decathlon. With sixth-place finishes in the 100 (11.39 seconds) and shot put (36 feet 11 ¾ inches/11.27 meters), along with a seventh-place finish in the 400 (53.73 seconds) to highlight his Thursday, Hildebrand is 10th in the field with 3,083 points heading into the final five events (110 hurdles, discus, pole vault, javelin, and 1500) on Friday morning at the Championships.
Miller finished off a strong day one in Shippensburg for West Chester in the 10K on Thursday night as the junior placed second in a time of 29:58.65, which also earned him All-Conference honors in this event as he continues his outstanding 2025-26 season.
Nick Forman (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) also picked up a top-10 finish in the 10K with a 10th-place finish in 31:52.32.

Chase Hildebrand (Chalfont, Pa./C.B. South) finished 10th in the Decathlon with 5,616 points after strong performances in the last five events of the competition, including a fifth-place finish in the pole vault with a height of 12 feet 7 ½ inches (3.85 meters) for his top finish of the competition.
West Chester punched its ticket to the Saturday finals of the 4x100 relay as the Golden Rams placed third in the prelims with a time of 40.75 seconds.
Jhaven Sims-Pagan (Scranton,Pa/Scranton) qualified for Saturday finals in the 110 hurdles with a fourth-place finish in the prelims in 14.68 seconds. Sims-Pagan also qualified for the 400-meter hurdle finals with a second-place finish in prelims in 53.98 seconds.
Terry Dweh (Darby, Pa./Penn Wood) narrowly missed out on punching his ticket to the 400-meter finals as he finished ninth in prelims in 49.48 seconds, just .08 behind Micah Good of Slippery Rock, who grabbed the eighth and final spot.
Evan McCracken (Johnstown, Pa./Richland) placed fifth in the 100 in 10.47 seconds, which was enough to send him through to Saturday's finals.
Billy Zane (Springfield, Pa./Springfield DELCO) qualified for the 800 finals with a third-place prelim finish in 1:53.82, just .13 behind Jakob Rager, who won the prelims in 1:53.69.

Jake Jones (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) finished fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 15 feet 3 ½ inches (4.66 meters) to score 4.5 early points for West Chester on Saturday afternoon at the PSAC Championships.
Jake Joslin (West Chester, Pa./East) nearly added another point for West Chester in the shot put with a ninth-place finish and a mark of 51-0 (15.54 meters).
Collin Niedrowski (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) also added points for West Chester in the javelin as he took fifth with a mark of 195-7 (59.62 meters).
The men's 4x100 relay squad took third in 41.09 seconds to start the action on the track, before
Jhaven Sims-Pagan (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) placed fourth in the 110 hurdles in 14.88 seconds to add five points to the Golden Ram ledger. Sims-Pagan added eight more points in the 400 hurdles as he placed second in 54.13 seconds.
Evan McCracken (Johnstown, Pa./Richland), who was a part of the Golden Rams All-Conference 4x100 relay team, took fifth in the 100 in 10.52 seconds to add four points of his own.
Billy Zane (Springfield, Pa./Springfield DELCO) took fifth in the 800 in 1:53.88 to chip in four points of his own for the Golden Rams.

West Chester finished its weekend with another second-place relay finish as the 4x400 relay squad took second in 3:15.68 to add final All-Conference honors to an excellent weekend in Shippensburg.
