STATE COLLEGE, Pa.-The West Chester University women's track and field squad was back in action on Friday afternoon for the final regular season indoor meet of the year at the Penn State Tune-up.
Emma Deyarmin (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) finished seventh in the weight throw with a mark of 45 feet 10 ½ inches (13.98 meters). Deyarmin later finished ninth in the shot put with a mark of 38-1 ½ (11.62m).
Leah Wasko (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe and Cate Hildebrand (Chalfont, Pa./C.B. South) took third and fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with times of 9.09 and 9.19 seconds, respectively. Hildebrand also paced West Chester in the 200 with a 14
th-place finish in 26.49 seconds.
Katja Larsen (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) and
Genevieve McDonald (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) led West Chester in the 60 with fourth and fifth-place finishes in 7.79 and 7.86 seconds, respectively.
Cassie Nugin (Camp Hill, Pa./Cedar Cliff) finished sixth in the 400 in 59.69 seconds.
Kaylie Groff (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra) and
Hannah LaFave (Spring Brook Township, Pa./North Pocono) finished in a tie for second in the pole vault with marks of 11-3 ¾ (3.45m).
