Men's Tennis to Host Penn State-Harrisburg on Thursday Afternoon

WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University men's tennis team (1-4) is set to return to action at home on Thursday afternoon vs Penn State-Harrisburg (1-3) beginning at 3 p.m. on South Campus.

Last Time Out

West Chester returns north after a 1-3 stint in Florida, which included a 5-2 win over Hampden-Sydney College for the team's first win of the season. West Chester dropped its first match in Florida by a 7-0 final to Eckerd before defeating Hampden-Sydney. The Golden Rams concluded their trip south with a 6-1 loss to Washington College and a 7-0 loss to Case Western Reserve on Friday morning.

Tune Up Time

Today's match is the Golden Rams' last non-league test before returning to PSAC play next Wednesday afternoon at Millersville, beginning at 3 p.m. West Chester has a handful of non-league dates remaining on its schedule, but will not play a non-league foe again until March 31 at Chestnut Hill.

Weather Report

Thursday looks to be the warmest day of the week to date, with highs in the upper 40s under mostly cloudy skies with wind speeds below 10 miles per hour. The week is expected to warm up through the weekend, with a high of 71 forecast for Sunday.

Scouting Penn State-Harrisburg

Penn State-Harrisburg enters play on Thursday looking for its first win of the spring after dropping a pair of matches in South Carolina against Ohio-Wesleyan (5-2) and Alfred (4-3) in its first matches of the spring season last week.

Damir Cuturic and Ved Pawar lead in singles play at 3-1 and 20, respectively with Cuturic going a perfect 3-0 in second singles matches. Cooper Wheeler is 2-1 at first singles entering play on Thursday. The doubles tandem of Wheeler and Cuturic is first on the team at 4-0 with all four matches and victories coming in the first doubles spot.

West Chester will be back in action next week for a pair of road matches at Millersville on Wednesday at 3 and Edinboro on Friday at 6.
