Men's Tennis to Open PSAC East Play at Millersville on Wednesday Afternoon

MILLERSVILLE, Pa.- Following a win over Penn State-Harrisburg in its 2026 home opener, the West Chester University men's tennis team (2-4) is set for its PSAC East opener at Millersville (1-5, 0-1) on Wednesday afternoon, beginning at 3 p.m.

West Chester opened the northern chapter of its Spring 2026 season last Thursday with a 5-2 win over Penn State-Harrisburg. West Chester won the doubles point, as the tandems of Zack Bull/JP Beirana-Guzman and Thomaz Joly/Ashton Bunch were victorious at second and third doubles, 6-2 and 6-1, respectively, to take a 1-0 lead in the match. West Chester won four of six singles matches as Bunch (6-3, 6-0), Beirana-Guzman (6-2, 6-0), Joly (6-1, 6-2), and Anthony Abbott (6-1, 6-1) were all victorious in straight sets.

Wednesday's match is the Golden Rams first league match of the 2025-26 season, as the team seeks its third win of the season.

Scouting Millersville

Millersville enters play on Wednesday hoping for a better result against the Golden Rams to open PSAC East play than what the Marauders women's squad experienced on Tuesday, as the Golden Ram women left Millersville with a 4-3 victory over the Marauders. The Millersville men's team enters Wednesday's match at 1-5 overall and 0-1 in league play after a 7-0 loss to Jefferson in its PSAC opener on Friday afternoon. The Marauders are currently on a five-match losing streak and are in search of their first win since a 6-1 win over Lebanon Valley on the road on September 28.

Milan Urbanek is first on the team in singles play at 4-5 on the year, while Daniel Ducheyne is 3-3 as the Marauders two top singles players. Arrav Bharti and Sandor Wulf are 3-0 in doubles play, although all three wins have come in Tournament play. Axel Duclos and Wulf are 2-3 in first doubles matches in dual action, while Paul Bagnouls and Adrian Weisser are 2-2 at second doubles.

West Chester will be back in action on Friday night at Edinboro beginning at 6 p.m. before taking a brief break from league play on Tuesday afternoon to visit Chestnut Hill for a 3 p.m. start.
