GRAPHIC ANNOUNCING RUBEN RODRIGUEZ JR, GABE MOSS, AND ANTHONY MCCALL AS PSAC EAST FIRST TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE SELECTIONS

Men's Basketball Lands Three on All-PSAC East Squad

LOCK HAVEN, Pa.- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) revealed its men's basketball All-Conference selections on Thursday afternoon. West Chester landed three players on the PSAC East First Team All-League squad as Ruben Rodriguez Jr. (Reading, Pa./Reading), Gabe Moss (Pottstown, Pa./The Hill School), and Anthony McCall (Philadelphia, Pa./ANC) were honored by the league office as voted upon by the coaches around the PSAC.

West Chester matches its total All-League honorees from a year ago with three, as all three players earn All-PSAC honors for the first time in their careers. The three first-team honorees are the most West Chester has had under head coach Damien Blair and are the most for West Chester since 2000-01, when Tyariq Corbin, Joe Meade, and Ramzee Stanton all earned First Team honors.

Rodriguez Jr. scored in double figures 23 times in the 2025-26 regular season for West Chester, including six 20+ point efforts, with his most notable performance a 30-point outburst against Indiana (Pa.) on January 2, which remains the most points scored by a Golden Ram in a game this season. Rodriguez Jr. leads West Chester in most major categories, including scoring, as he averages 14.9 points per game on 43.6 % shooting from the field and 28.1 % from beyond the arc, along with 73.7 % shooting at the line. The junior also leads the team in rebounding (185; 6.6/g), assists (125; 4.5/g), and steals (55; 2.0/g).

McCall finishes his Golden Ram career with an All-League certificate after scoring in double figures 18 times this season, including three 20+-point efforts, with his best effort being a 26-point performance in a 12/2 win over Lincoln. He has also made 11 field goals at IUP on January 2, which remains the most on the team as he scored 25 points on 11-of-15 shooting in that victory. McCall averaged 13.6 points per game in his senior season, which is second most on the team, shooting 49.8 % from the field, 31.0 % from beyond the arc, and 72.6 % at the line. McCall also finished the year second on the team in rebounding, averaging 4.7 per game with 132 on the season, along with 1.7 assists per game, 25 steals, and 15 blocks. In the PSAC Tournament last night against IUP, McCall scored 17 points, including a 7-for-7 effort at the line along with an assist and a steal in the setback to the Crimson Hawks.

Moss was the third and final Golden Ram to earn All-League honors, as he, like Rodriguez Jr., enjoyed an outstanding first season as a Golden Ram after transferring in from the Division I ranks. Moss, who established himself as one of the most prolific dunkers in the PSAC throughout the season, scored in double figures 22 times in 28 games, including five games with 20 points or more. The veteran forward entered the PSAC Tournament averaging 13.0 points per game in just over 23 minutes of action on 69.0 % shooting from the field and 68.3 % shooting from the line. Moss scored a career-high 24 in a setback to Millersville in Hollinger on February 2 and also grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds in a win at Shepherd on 2/18 for his lone double-double of the season. In addition to his 13.0 points per game, which ranked third best on the team, Moss ended the season third in rebounding, averaging 4.6 rebounds per game along with 25 assists, 24 steals, and 23 blocks as he helped West Chester to a share of the PSAC East Regular Season title for the third time in four years. Moss led all scorers in the PSAC Tournament last night with 20 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field and an 8-for-13 effort at the line to go along with eight rebounds as one of three Golden Rams in double figures.

West Chester ended the regular season at 21-7 overall and 15-6 in league action as the Golden Rams eclipsed the 20-win barrier for the second year in a row and fourth time in the last five seasons, with the lone exception being a 19-11 finish to the 2023-24 campaign. With its win over East Stroudsburg in the regular season finale, West Chester earned a share of the PSAC East Regular Season crown for the second year in a row and third time in four seasons, and earned a bye, along with hosting rights, for the PSAC Quarterfinals on Wednesday night in Hollinger Field House. West Chester wrote the latest chapter in its rivalry with IUP on Wednesday night as the two sides met in the PSAC Tournament for the fifth time under head coach Damien Blair, with IUP escaping with a 71-70 victory.

West Chester will now await the Division II Men's Basketball selection show on NCAA.com on Sunday night at 11 p.m.
