In singles play, Melotti (6-7, 6-2, 6-3), Beirana-Guzman (6-2, 6-0), and Joly (7-6, 6-3) were all victorious at second, third, and fourth singles to help West Chester hold off a Ursinus comeback bid for a 4-3 victory over the Bears.

Since 2012, West Chester is 0-4 against UDC, including a 7-0 loss on the road in 2025 and a 7-0 loss at home in April 2024 in UDC's last visit to South Campus. The closest West Chester has come to earning a win over UDC was a 4-3 setback to the Firebirds on the road in March 2023.
